Thanks to its great political representation, the Non-Aligned Movement is the world’s second largest organization after the United Nations (UN). Currently, the Movement has 120 member countries, 17 observer countries and 10 observer organizations.

Categories participating in the Movement:
Permanent Members fully exercise their rights and duties in the Movement. Observers may only participate in the plenary deliberations and take the floor after being authorized by the Bureau. Guests can only participate in the Movement’s high-level meetings (especially in the opening and closure sessions) with approval of the Coordinating Bureau.
The Principles of Bandung and the Membership Criteria of the NAM are also the admission criteria of both new member countries and observers.
